Registration Guidelines

If you are considering registering as a Bereavement Friendly Church, please follow the following steps:

1: Church Leader and other team members attend the Bereavement Friendly Church webinar

2. Potential follow up call from us

3: Church leadership consider how the church is presently achieving the Charter 12 Marks. See here for a sample Action Plan.

4. Church Leadership commits to working towards achieving, or improving on, achievement of the Charter.

5. (Option) We help you review your Action Plan. Contact us if you would like help.

6. Contact our Church Engagement Team and request a Bereavement Friendly Church Charter digital questionnaire.  

7. Complete and return the questionnaire.  This will include advising us of when you intend to review your progress.  

8. We will review your questionnaire and may contact you again.

9. We send you a Bereavement Friendly Church Certificate of Commitment and Logo Media Pack.

10. You can start promoting yourself as a Bereavement Friendly Church, displaying the logo and Certificate of Commitment.  (See suggestions in the Logo Media Pack).

11. We will contact you soon after your review date to check your progress against your plan and send a renewed Certificate of Commitment.
