Sacred Heart and St Catherine of Alexandria Roman Catholic Church – Droitwich, Worcestershire
The interior of Sacred Heart Church, Droitwich
The St Vincent de Paul (SVP) Society has been active in the Sacred Heart Parish in Droitwich, for many years. This is an international lay Christian organisation of men, women and young people working to help relieve suffering, whether this be loneliness, illness, homelessness or any other form of poverty.
In Droitwich the church’s outreach includes a Bereavement Café with an opportunity to meet others in a similar situation offering mutual support and friendship within a safe space. The café provided on the 2nd Tuesday of every month between 10 and 12 noon is free of charge including refreshments where bereaved people can talk in confidence to their trained volunteers. There is also an opportunity to join a 7-week The Bereavement Journey® course at Rotary House, Corbett Avenue, Droitwich WR9 7BD.
