A New Song for Remembering

13th October 2026

Christian broadcaster and musician Mal Pope has created a moving new version of his song Still With Me with Mumbles A Cappella choir for Bereavement Matters Season.

Mal Pope is one of Wales’ most celebrated singer-songwriters and broadcasters, with a career spanning more than five decades. His new song is about remembering someone who has died and the lasting place they hold in our lives. The release offers two versions:

  • Mal Pope with choir: Mal sings with backing from Mumbles A Cappella.

  • Choir backing track: a choral backing track version sung by Mumbles A Cappella for individual or communal accompaniment.

A popular version of Still With Me will also be released on 30th October at the launch of Bereavement Matters Season at St Paul’s Cathedral.

Bereavement Matters Season is a new annual season of remembering, awareness and support, taking place throughout November and December. It amplifies and builds upon the existing grief and bereavement themes and opportunities, creating a shared opportunity to remember those who have died, raise awareness of the impact of bereavement and help people find support.

We are grateful to Mal for dedicating this release to AtaLoss and for his continued support of our work helping bereaved people find support and wellbeing.

Still With Me can be used in funerals, All Souls’ services, Blue Christmas services and other personal or shared moments of remembering someone who has died.

We hope it will resonate with people who are bereaved and help raise awareness of the support available through AtaLoss.org. We would love to see it reach the charts by Christmas, so please listen, download it for free and share it with others to help spread the word.
